I don't like it when people use darker colours as their custom colours. It is indeed difficult to read and I (honestly) usually don't read half of them due to that fact.

But eh, I'm still staying semi-in character... of course... about the same as prior. Maybe a little less.

I think the first thing I'm going to be doing is trying to get up a storyline. I'll be talking with all the other mods/admins/etc about one.

But before I do that, just out of curiosity... what type of storyline do you guys think would be best? One that revolves around a particular game? One that's completely off-the-wall and made up? One that's half and half?
keep in mind that I do still have every intention of making it a melting pot of verses. Archie mostly.

I'm going to rework all the lists for officials too, so it won't have to be updated so frequently. That would be lovely...

Half and half. I think we need to take/make a continuity from a combined canon of the games and the comics, then work off and make our own storyline in our own version of Sonic's world.

I'll take some time for the next few days coming up with a storyline. I'll give you my suggestions soon.

In the meantime, I reccomend you simply lock or hide all RP-related forums until we get this all figured out. I'm gonna get around to e-mailing MC about this sometime soon. We need everyone's help for this...

Key fact I think we need to keep in mind for storylines, is how the place is going to be structure first. I'm currently mulling over ways to re-organize the RP environments and then once the locations are set (because locations also are a part of the continuity) then things can fall into place.

Key fact number 2 that I think we need to really work with - is to make sure that the storyline is SIMPLE. Nothing that requires an extreme amount of planning and can be prepared for whatever plot twists might show up during an RP. If this was an RP made between friends, it'd be fine to make it really strict because it'd be predictable RPing with 2 or 3 people. We're talking an entire forum though here. So we need to keep things relatively simple, instead of a 'true' storyline, rather a base to which events can play out accordingly without a risk of everything being thrown out the window.

I can think of storylines revolving around certain things, but to make it for everyone is where it loses me.

Oddly enough, I was faced with that conundrum myself. I've a chat room with which there's a sort of storyline already set, made by my self. And right now, We're in the process of introducing characters into the RP. And it's been going rather smoothly. Mostly because of the situation. I've been working with several people in conducting a tournament, based off the King of Fighters series. Right now, Everyone has their own story, but the big part is still in view.

Seeing as we've already got a world, here, made and set, we just need something that will involve key people in the event. Sort of like an ARG. (Alternate Reality game)

To keep it simple and work Shads, we just need to come up with a piece of conflict that will be able to affect the entire universe. The easiest way to do that would be to have a universal villain, and seeing as most of the OC cast is made up of heroes - we've got heroes to counter that villain. Then characters will be easily able to slip in and out because we've got two sides really to be on =D

I had an idea at the moment, but It kinda seems too much now. It involved having one person take up the mantle for the countless minions of a demon, trying to regain his physical form.

I would offer, seeing as I've plenty of practice, what with all the Horror RP's I've been doing, most of them in the Silent Hill fashion *Easily defeated monsters, plus Pyramid head!*. But I'm not so sure. I'd probably kill myself trying to keep up. Or whoever did take up that mantle.

But yeah, I'll agree with that. Apparently starting january I'm going to have to be working an insane workweek AND go to school, so I'm going to be screwed when it comes to activity. Ugh. I'm going to be talking to my supervisor about that, as I am not willing to work a 10 hour day, rush to school, stay there for three hours, get home and have no time to do jack... rar.

But the storyline is the biggest thing. How about we start throwing out short ideas and see which one sounds best? I can go ahead and make a topic about it in the admin lounge.

Yeaaahhh... I'm not surprised. I apparently made a looot of typos on this site. I noticed quite a few when fixing the rules up in Microsoft Word.
