[OOC: Alright, enough falling. Time for impact.]

The Pioneer's hull shattered the tops of buildings as it descended towards the ground. The mighty skyscrapers splintered like toothpicks under the sheer weight of the airship. As the Pioneer reached the ground, the force of the impact was so great, huge shockwaves were sent throughout Central City. As the engine room and armory were destroyed, the engines and ordinance detonated, causing massive damage that destroyed most of the city.

By the time the impact had finally ended, Central City lay in ruins.

Maverick leaped off the building into the panicked streets of Station Square. He figured they would need help with rescue efforts in Central City. He hotwired a nearby motorcycle and sped off to the city ruins.

Upon arrival, he saw that the damage was much worse than he thought it to be. Extending out from the crater where the smoking remains of the Pioneer lay, the city looked as if it had undergone a carpet bombing attack. He looked around for any survivors.

Joshua tried to block "Breaker"'s tapping.
He wasn't sure that this new person would understand him, but remembering that "Prof. Grey" -as he introduced himself as- was able to understand him, he gave Signing another shot.

<<I'm not a robot... oh, and I'm not deaf by the way, I was just born mute.>> He then showed them the whistle hanging on the string around his neck.

The robot pushed Breaker's hand away. "Hey, what's the big deal?" he said, and then the mech began making strange motions with its hands. It's definitely sign language, but I don't have a clue what it's saying. What kind of moron builds a robot that can only speak in sign language, anyway?

Breaker turned to the professor. "Hey, Prof, got any idea what it's trying to say?" Breaker then noticed the robot trying to show him the whistle. "Huh, what is it boy? Johnny fell down the well?" Ugh, I'm totally going to get my ass kicked today.

Tails noticed Sonic's eyes flitting at the emerald as it descended into the hatch and looked a little coy, scratching the back of his head. 'Oh, err... It's not real... It'sa fake one used to keep the circuit complete and running. It's pretty powerful but it's nothing like the real thing... heh...' He then turned on his heel and marched proudly towards the Tornado, hopping into the front cockpit and gesturing towards the hedghog who was already on his way. He flicked an array of switches to start the ignition sequence and the dashboard lit up before him...

Maverick had managed to find a few people within the ruins. He had assisted them in reaching the refugee camps that had popped up on the city outskirts. He hopped back onto the motorcycle he had arrived on and drove back towards Station Square so that he could keep track of how the situation developed.
