"Oh, dear..." Dr. Kintobor slowly and timidly held out a blaster to the approaching thief. Not but a few minutes ago, he saw some street thugs holing a young woman and her child at gunpoint, and brazenly stepped in to interfere. He succeeded in getting them to leave the poor woman alone- But now they were coming for him.


One man, who seemed to be the leader of the three, spoke up. "You'z a wise guy or somethin', Doc? Da boys and I were just askin' the lady for some change. Mind ya business, buddy, if ya know what's good for yaz."

He threw a punch at the scientist, hitting him in the jaw and knocking him back.

"L-leave her alone, you ruffians!" He stirred to his feet and fired his blaster at the leader, which upon impact, froze his body in place.

"Ey, what gives?! I can't move! Lawrence, Curls, take care o' dis here knucklehead!"

"Got it, Moe! Aaaaaaugh!" The other two ran at him shouting in a frenzy.

"Ack!" He threw a small grenade-like object to the ground, which exerted a thick pink smoke. The two fell over, and were soon fast asleep. "Good thing I'm immune to the sleeping gas... Oh dear, oh dear..."

He walked over to the woman to ask if she was alright, which to his relief she was. He later called the police, who rounded up the incapacitated criminals. Worriedly, he went back to the hospital to catch up on his work, hoping he didn't hurt the thieves too badly. Kintobor was simply too kind for his own good, but stuck to his nonviolent principles, no matter how harsh the world he lived in was.

His office hours were technically over, but the past two years now the diligent doctor was working on a special project. Opening the door to his personal lab, he set to work on an android, which was nearly completed.

"It's time. All that's left is to power you up... Natalie."

The android, taking the form of a young girl, rested there, lifeless. Even today Kintobor wasn't sure about this. He'd never married, and never had children, and a part of him saw the robot as an attempt to create a "daughter" figure for himself.

"It's time for you to wake up." He smiled, flipping a switch that sent an electric current through the robot's artificial body, which would soon jolt it to life.

The doctor nodded, "I'll be right back! Just wait here while I run down to the store..."

He quickly dashed downstairs and out the front door. The nearest shop was within walking distance, so he decided not to drive as he briskly walked forward.

Eventually he arrived, and picked out some things that would fit a 3'8 high girl, as opposed to something his size, a six foot tall man. "Oh, bother. What do I do?"

He looked at the display inquisitively before picking out several outfits, and went to the counter to pay for them.

The clerk raised an eyebrow at Kintobor's purchase. Kintobor wasn't married and- before today- certainly didn't have anyone he could consider a child. "...Whatcha buyin' there, Doc?"

Should he tell him about the robot he spent the last two years working on? It seemed like a long story, one he didn't have time to get into. "It's a rather complicated story..."

"...I'll bet it is. Well, here ya go."

He returned to the hospital, where Natalie was still awkwardly wrapped in his oversized labcoat, and set the outfits down on a nearby table. "I hope these are okay..."

He'd never bought clothes for girls before, and the Doc wasn't exactly up to date on the latest fashions anyway, so he was a bit unsure of his choices.

While Kintobor was busy with his newly created "daughter", there came a great deal of noise from the front area.
The cause of this disturbance was a green hedgehog, wearing a black leather jacket, boots, and a smirk. A few seconds before hand, the hedgehog had proceeded to stand in the middle of everything and proclaim tha he was here looking for an "old" friend and some fun. Needless to say, the security was quick to try and take him down.
At the moment, the green hedgehog was enjoying himself, showing off while taking down the security, making as much of a ruckus as he could.

Natalie heard the commotion from outside. "What was that? Is there someone out there?"

The doc was bolder than Scourge thought. But Scourge wasn't worried. He could handle the doc easily. Of course, He had no clue what kind of gun the Doc had, but it wouldn't be anything bad, knowing Kintobor,plus, Scourge was the fastest thing around. Nothing could touch him.

"Put the gun down, Doc. You know it's useless." His smirk faded slightly, but not entirely. The doc was definitely up to something. It must be something good, too. He took a step, which was more like several, and zipped behind Kintobor, leaned over his shoulder. "Come on. Just a peek. I might even honor you by using it in my plan."
